ABERDEEN, MD. (January 29, 2021)— Benfield Electric Co. is pleased to announce its corporate sponsorship of the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Greater Maryland.
Founded in 1968 by Charlie Benfield and his wife Ms. Pat, Benfield Electric has been family-owned and operated for over fifty years. On this day last year, January 29, 2020, Patricia Benfield passed on from this life, forever ending her battle with Alzheimer’s.
This year’s corporate sponsorship of the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s of Greater Maryland is in honor of Ms. Pat’s legacy.

In an effort to help other families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, Benfield Electric has donated $15,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association this year.
Greg is passionate about giving back and has worked with several charities and community organizations in the past. He is currently on the Board for the Harford Day School. Before that, he volunteered as the Walk Chair for the Harford County March of Dimes (2010-2012) and is excited about becoming more involved with the Alzheimer’s Association this year.
“While Benfield Electric supports several charities, the Alzheimer’s Association will be the first that I have a personal connection with. Organizations like Alzheimer’s Association helped me and my family find the right type of care for my Mom. That is why we have decided to help in their cause, so other families can get the help in their struggle.” says Greg.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Harford/Cecil Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2021 and the Greater Baltimore Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2021.
